DAY 1 - HELICOPTER TOUR - OVER THE RECENTLY ERUPTED VOLCANO

ITINERARY: This exhilarating tour, starting from Reykjavik Airport, will take you to the scenic volcano eruption area. Even though it may sound daunting at first, there’s no need to worry! This is a fissure volcano, meaning it causes no disruption to air traffic, and it is entirely safe to fly above it. See the hot, steaming lava spewing from the narrow fissure and flowing on the fresh lava field formed after the recent eruption. Volcanic eruption alone is a rare occasion itself, but for it to happen in the same location within the span of one year is even more remarkable! We’ll end our extraordinary helicopter flight with a scenic route over Iceland’s capital and see the famous attractions from above before taking off at Reykjavik Airport. PLEASE NOTE: There is a 4-person minimum passenger requirement. All our flights are weather dependent and we have to abide by the rules and regulations set in place by the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management. If we have to cancel your flight due to weather or other factors out of our control, we will try to reschedule your flight or give you a full refund. Due to the nature of the flight, we can not accommodate children under the age of 2 years old on this tour. Exceptions can be discussed for private tours. Volcanoes are a natural phenomenon, and the level of volcanic activity at the site varies daily. Even if the volcano is not erupting during your visit, visiting the area is still fascinating.

Exclusions:

  • All personal expenses of any nature. 
  • Anything not mentioned in the inclusions list
  • 5% GST and 5% TCS -Govt taxes are applicable to the total amount
  • Expenses caused by factors beyond our control like flight delays, roadblocks, vehicle mal-functions, political disturbances or natural calamities such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, heavy snowstorms etc.

Payment Policy

Payment Policy for Iceland Tours:

1. Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments via Bank Transfers in ICICI - Iceland Tours Bank A/C & Gpay

2. Booking Confirmation: A 10% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

3. Full Payment: The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your tour start date.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation charges per person / Refund policy

1. Cancellations: Cancellations made 60 - 90 days before the tour will incur a 50% charge.

Cancellations within 59 - 31 days before the tour will incur a 80% charge.

Cancellations within 30 days are non refundable.

2. Refund Policy: Refunds will be processed within 14 business days, subject to the cancellation policy.

If you Cancel your Holiday
You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below :

If we change or cancel your holiday

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements.
Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date.
We also reserve the right under any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.
If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. bad weather):We shall first try to offer alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn't already commenced.
If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged to you on a pro-rata basis depending on the portion of the tour utilized by you.
In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited to refunding to you the price we charged as tour fees.
If you want to change your holiday plan
After confirmation of services, if you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way (e.g. your chosen departure date or accommodation), we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes must be in writing from the person who made the booking. All cost incurred due to amendment will be borne by you.

If you have a complaint
If you face any problem during your holiday, please inform the relevant supplier (e.g. your hotelier, transporter etc.) and/or our representative immediately who will endeavor to set things right. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 28 days of your return home by writing to us, with your booking reference and all other relevant information. However, please be advised that while we are happy to assist you in the redressal of your complaint, if any, we will be able to extend only our best efforts in managing/coordinating your complaint with the respective service provider. All third party service providers are independent contractors who are at no time under our control or supervision.

All booking vouchers and tickets will be provided 3 days before departure.
