DAY 1 - KEFLAVIK AIRPORT - REYKJAVIK CITY TOUR

Upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport, we are greeted by ‘Iceland Tours’ tour manager at arrivals and proceed to the capital city - Reykjavik. (45kms from Keflavik Airport). Check in at our hotel and then we start exploring the National Capital of Iceland - Reykjavik (approx 2 hrs - Reykjavik city tour) Sun Voyager - a dreamboat, an ode to the sun. It symbolizes the promise of undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, progress and freedom. Harpa concert hall - an award-winning building situated at the old harbour, City Hall - houses the offices of the mayor of Reykjavík and a large 3D map of Iceland, Parliament House - a classical 19th century structure, which houses the Icelandic parliament Laugavegur Street – 1.5kms long – full of cafes, clubs and pubs. (British pub, Hard Rock Café, American club) high street of the capital city. (Walking tour) Hallgrimskirkja Church - both a parish church and a national sanctuary in Iceland. It is the tallest church in Iceland. Overnight at Reykjavik.

DAY 2 - REYKJAVIK - GOLDEN CIRCLE TOUR

Today after breakfast, we proceed for the Golden Circle Tour. At our first stop, we visit Thingvellir National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the rift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and the site of the ancient Icelandic parliament. The mid-atlantic ridge passes through Iceland and divides it into two parts. One is the American Techtonic Plate and the other is the Eurasian Techtonic Plate, which moves apart 2cms every year. Then we visit Geysir - home to the Littli Geysir & the Great Strokkur Geysir. We explore the magnificent geo-thermal area around the Haukadalur valley and visit the most famous Strokkur Geysir, which erupts about every 7- 8 minutes. There are almost 40 other smaller hot springs, mud pots and fumaroles around the geo-thermal area. Later we proceed to Gullfoss Waterfall - one of the most impressive double tiered waterfalls in Europe that falls in two folds. Here we can take a walk near the falls (25-30mins walk) Then we proceed back to the hotel in Reykjavik.

DAY 3 - SOUTH ICELAND TOUR – 1/2 REYKJAVIK - VIK

After breakfast proceed to South Iceland tour, our very first location will be Seljalandsfoss where there is a 30min walking trail behind the waterfall (carry rainy wear if you don’t want to get wet) Later we will be proceeding to the 2nd waterfall. Skogafoss – where on a bright sunny day at least 3 rainbows are visible at a time. There is a hiking trail of around 100 steps to reach on top of the hill. (Hike - optional) Later we will take a shuttle bus to Sólheimasandur where we will visit the Plane Wreck of a DC-3 belonging to the US Navy that ran out of fuel and crashed on the sand in 1973, and is still located at the very same spot. (Lunch enroute) Then we check in at our hotel at Vik – South Iceland.

DAY 4 - SOUTH ICELAND TOUR – 2/2 VIK - JOKULSARLON GLACIER LAGOON – REYNISFJARA BLACK SAND BEACH. (Film: DILWALE, Song: Gerua. Bollywood Song Shooting location in South Iceland)

After breakfast, we visit the two most beautiful places in Iceland - Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach. We drive across the Mýrdalssandur plains and the vast Eldhraun lava field to Kirkjubaejarklaustur, a small village located in a charming setting. Later we proceed to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, one of the most spectacular sights in Iceland. Enormous icebergs constantly break off the glacier into the lagoon, melting slowly as they drift towards the sea nearby. Later we enjoy the scenic walk around the glacier lagoon with its amazing landscape and floating icebergs. We then board an amphibian boat and take a ride on the glacial lake around the enchanting icebergs. Then we visit the most famous Diamond Beach where ice crystals seem to be diamonds spread across the beach. Later we return to Vik and visit Reynisfjara Black and Beach - enormous basalt rock columns, roaring Atlantic waves and stunning panoramas (one of a kind in the world) It is always extremely windy at the beach. “Swimming strictly prohibited”

DAY 5 - VIK – SHOPPING OUTLET - BLUE LAGOON – REYKJAVIK/KEFLAVIK

After breakfast, we proceed to the shopping outlet at Vik Town. (Souvenirs / Icelandic Local Products) We then proceed to Reykjavik, have lunch & check in to our hotel. In the afternoon we drive to Blue Lagoon for a Hot Thermal Bath @ 16:00 hours. It is a unique sight where guests enjoy relaxing in warm geothermal water surrounded by magical black lava fields. The Blue Lagoon’s warm water and natural active ingredients; mineral salts, silica and blue green algae, help you relax and escape the stress and strain of day life. DAY 6 - REYKJAVIK – KEFLAVIK AIRPORT

Today we check out from the hotel and proceed towards Keflavik Airport for our onward flight with sweet & everlasting memories of Iceland.

Cancellation charges per person

If cancelled within 60 or less days before departure: 100% (No Refund)

If cancelled within 90 - 61 days before departure 50% (50% Refund)

If cancelled within 180 - 91 days before departure 10% (90% Refund)

 

Terms & Conditions

If you Cancel your Holiday
You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below :

If we change or cancel your holiday

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements.
Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date.
We also reserve the right under any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.
If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. bad weather):We shall first try to offer alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn't already commenced.
If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged to you on a pro-rata basis depending on the portion of the tour utilized by you.
In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited to refunding to you the price we charged as tour fees.
If you want to change your holiday plan
After confirmation of services, if you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way (e.g. your chosen departure date or accommodation), we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes must be in writing from the person who made the booking. All cost incurred due to amendment will be borne by you.

If you have a complaint
If you face any problem during your holiday, please inform the relevant supplier (e.g. your hotelier, transporter etc.) and/or our representative immediately who will endeavor to set things right. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 28 days of your return home by writing to us, with your booking reference and all other relevant information. However, please be advised that while we are happy to assist you in the redressal of your complaint, if any, we will be able to extend only our best efforts in managing/coordinating your complaint with the respective service provider. All third party service providers are independent contractors who are at no time under our control or supervision.

All booking vouchers and tickets will be provided 3 days before departure.
